The BOSCH bgh97m100c5c is a two-stage, 97% AFUE condensing gas furnace in the BGH97 Series, designed for residential heating applications. It delivers 100,000 BTU/h of heating output through a durable aluminized steel tubular primary heat exchanger and a stainless-steel secondary heat exchanger. The unit runs on a constant-airflow ECM blower motor for quiet, efficient operation and uses hot-surface ignition for reliable startup. Licensed HVAC technicians install this furnace as a standalone unit or as part of a complete heating and cooling system. It ships from the factory configured for natural gas and includes a propane conversion kit.
The bgh97m100c5c is suited for residential new construction and replacement installations in upflow or horizontal orientations with left or right return configurations. Its 3-way multipoise design accommodates a wide range of mechanical room, closet, and attic layouts. When paired with a compatible Bosch IDS heat pump and cased coil, the system supports dual-fuel operation and is rated for use with low-GWP refrigerants. The low-profile C cabinet fits in tight spaces where clearance is limited. Left or right-hand connections for gas and electric service reduce field modification time.
Compatible with Bosch IDS heat pumps and Bosch Low GWP IDS Cased Coils for dual-fuel and full heating and cooling system configurations. When paired with a Bosch IDS system, the combination achieves a SEER2 rating of up to 18.5 and an HSPF2 rating of up to 9.5. Designed to operate with low-GWP refrigerants per current safety requirements.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with the current edition of the IFGC, NFPA 54, and all applicable local codes. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before beginning any service or installation work. Verify that flue venting, combustion air, and condensate drainage are configured per the manufacturer installation instructions before startup. Do not attempt to field-modify the heat exchanger or alter the factory pressure settings.
