The BOSCH 8733980530 is a complete five-zone ductless mini-split system kit designed for multi-room or multi-zone residential and light commercial comfort applications. The kit pairs one outdoor condensing unit with five indoor air handlers, delivering a combined 36,000 BTU capacity across all zones. Four of the indoor units are 9,000 BTU wall-mounted heads, and the fifth is a 12,000 BTU unit. The kit ships as a matched-component set, with each indoor unit and the outdoor unit pre-specified to work together. HVAC technicians install this system in applications where a single outdoor unit must serve multiple independent zones with individual temperature control.
This kit is suited for residential multi-zone installations such as multi-room apartments, additions, or light commercial spaces where ducted systems are impractical. The five-zone configuration allows each indoor unit to operate independently, making it appropriate for buildings with varied occupancy schedules or differing thermal loads by room. The included outdoor unit and all five indoor air handlers are engineered as a matched system to meet rated capacity and efficiency targets across the full zone load.
This kit is factory-configured as a matched five-zone ductless mini-split system. Included components are IDU 8733962672 (qty 4), IDU 8733962673 (qty 1), and ODU 8733962697 (qty 1). Mixing these components with other indoor or outdoor units outside of BOSCH-specified configurations is not recommended and may affect rated performance.
Installation of a multi-zone mini-split system must be performed by an EPA Section 608-certified HVAC technician due to refrigerant handling requirements. Power to all circuits must be disconnected before making any electrical connections to indoor or outdoor units. Line set sizing, refrigerant charge, and electrical supply should be confirmed against the equipment documentation provided with each component. Local mechanical and electrical codes govern disconnect placement, circuit sizing, and line set insulation requirements.
