The BOSCH 8733965434 is a two-stage, multipoise residential gas furnace rated at 80,000 BTU/h output with 96% AFUE heating efficiency. It operates on natural gas and converts up to 96% of fuel consumed into usable heat, qualifying it for ENERGY STAR certification. The two-stage gas valve cycles between high-fire and low-fire settings, providing more consistent comfort and quieter operation compared to single-stage designs. The multipoise cabinet configuration allows upflow, downflow, and horizontal installation orientations, making it adaptable to a wide range of residential mechanical room layouts. Licensed HVAC technicians install and commission this furnace.
This furnace is designed for residential forced-air heating applications where high-efficiency gas heat is required. It is engineered to pair with Bosch IDS outdoor units and cased coils, supporting dual fuel system configurations that combine gas heating with heat pump cooling. The unit is also built to meet safety requirements for operation with new low-global warming potential (L-GWP) refrigerants when integrated into a complete Bosch IDS system. Its multipoise design suits replacement and new-construction installations alike, fitting a broad range of existing duct systems and equipment footprints.
Designed to integrate with Bosch IDS outdoor units and cased coils for complete dual fuel heating and cooling systems. Suitable as an OEM-matched replacement or new-installation furnace within compatible Bosch BGH96-series applications.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power at the breaker before servicing or replacing any furnace components. Verify flue venting configuration and duct sizing meet manufacturer specifications before startup. Do not operate the unit without all panels and access doors properly secured.
