The BOSCH 8733965428 is a 4-ton cased A-coil evaporator designed for residential split-system HVAC applications. With a 17.5-inch cabinet width, this coil is built for horizontal or vertical multi-position installation and is compatible with A2L refrigerant R-454B, meeting low-global warming potential (Low-GWP) requirements. The all-aluminum coil construction provides superior corrosion resistance compared to copper-aluminum designs. This unit is engineered to integrate with Bosch IDS-series air-source heat pump condensing sections, the Bosch BGH96 96% AFUE gas furnace, and Bosch RP Split water-source heat pump condensing sections. Licensed HVAC technicians are the expected installers for this component.
This cased A-coil is suited for residential forced-air systems where the installer needs a reliable, multi-position evaporator coil. Intended pairings include the Bosch ASHP Condensing Section (IDS series), the Bosch 96% AFUE Furnace (BGH96), and the Bosch WSHP Condensing Section (RP Split). The 17.5-inch cabinet fits standard air handler and furnace configurations and supports both horizontal and vertical orientations, giving installers flexibility across a range of job-site conditions.
Compatible with the Bosch ASHP Condensing Section (IDS series), Bosch 96% AFUE Furnace (BGH96), and Bosch WSHP Condensing Section (RP Split). Designed for use with A2L refrigerant R-454B IDS solutions.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with local mechanical codes and the equipment manufacturer instructions. Shut down and lock out the entire HVAC system, including the condensing section and air handler or furnace, before handling the evaporator coil. Refrigerant work involving A2L refrigerants requires EPA Section 608 certification and adherence to applicable safety guidelines for mildly flammable refrigerants. Verify drain pan orientation and condensate line routing before sealing the coil cabinet.
