The BONEHAM SFT365IM is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed for precision jig and fixture applications in metalworking and machining operations. It features a 5/16 inch (0.3125 inch) inside diameter and a 9/16 inch (0.5625 inch) body outside diameter, with a 5/16 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel, this bushing provides a renewable, removable fit in a fixed liner bushing, allowing the slip-fixed unit to be swapped out without disturbing the parent fixture. It is installed and locked in place using an LS-TW-2 compatible lock screw. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this type of bushing as part of drill jig tooling setups requiring repeatable hole guidance.
The SFT365IM is suited for use in drill jigs and production fixtures where bushings must be changed between operations or replaced due to wear. The slip-fixed configuration means the bushing rotates into a locked position within a fixed liner, making it well-suited for high-cycle production environments where multiple drill sizes or operations occur at the same station. The head design keeps the bushing positively seated against the jig plate surface during drilling, maintaining accurate drill guidance throughout the operation cycle.
Designed for use with LS-TW-2 compatible lock screws. Intended for installation into fixed liner bushings as part of standard SF-series drill jig bushing systems.
Drill jig bushings of this type are typically installed and serviced by machinists or toolmakers during fixture setup or maintenance. Before replacing or installing this bushing, ensure the machine is fully powered down and the workpiece is secured. The lock screw must be fully engaged before drilling operations begin to prevent rotation or ejection of the bushing under cutting forces. Verify that the liner bushing bore and the jig plate counterbore dimensions are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the bushing.
