The BONEHAM SFT2816IB is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to SF industry standards, it features a 0.29 inch inside diameter, a 7/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 1 inch length under the head. The bushing is machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, providing wear resistance suited to repeated production use. A 5/8 inch head outside diameter and 1/4 inch head height allow it to seat flush against a jig plate surface. The inside diameter tolerance of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0005 inches ensures consistent tool guidance across high-volume runs.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and fixture tooling in manufacturing, machining, and metalworking environments. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed in a liner bushing and locked in place with a lock screw, making it suited for applications where the bushing must remain stationary during the cut. It is compatible with the LS-TW-2 lock screw. The renewable bushing construction allows worn units to be replaced without replacing the entire jig plate, reducing maintenance downtime in production settings.
Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws. Designed as an SF-type slip-fixed replacement bushing for use in standard liner bushings conforming to ANSI drill bushing specifications.
Installation is typically performed by tooling engineers or machinists during jig and fixture setup or maintenance. Power down and de-energize any associated machinery before servicing the fixture. The bushing should be pressed or hand-fitted into a properly sized liner bushing and secured with the appropriate LS-TW-2 lock screw. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner, as this may alter inside diameter tolerances and compromise tool guidance accuracy.
