The BONEHAM SFT2816HD is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built from steel, this bushing features a 0.246 inch inside diameter, a 7/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 1 inch length under head. The headed design with a 5/8 inch head outside diameter and 1/4 inch head height allows the bushing to seat flush in a jig plate while resisting axial pullout. It accepts an LS-TW-2 compatible lock screw to secure the bushing in the liner during production runs. Machinists and tooling engineers in manufacturing, fabrication, and maintenance environments install this type of component in drill jigs and fixture plates.
This slip-fixed bushing is intended for use in drill jig applications where the bushing must remain fixed in a liner bushing during a machining operation but can be removed and replaced between operations or when worn. The SF industry code designation indicates compliance with standard slip-fixed bushing geometry. It is well suited for production machining environments where repeatable hole location accuracy is critical. A renewable bushing design means the SFT2816HD can be replaced independently of the liner, reducing fixture maintenance costs over time.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for drill jig fixtures requiring an SF-series slip-fixed bushing with a 0.246 inch inside diameter and 7/16 inch body outside diameter. Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or tooling technician during jig assembly or maintenance. The bushing is pressed or inserted into the liner bushing and secured with the appropriate LS-TW-2 lock screw. Ensure the jig plate and liner bushing are clean and free of chips or burrs before seating the bushing. Always verify inside diameter tolerance and body fit with the liner before placing the fixture into production service.
