The BONEHAM SFT246GB is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools accurately during drilling, reaming, and boring operations on jigs and fixtures. Classified under industry code SF, this bushing features a 0.199 inch (No. 8 wire) inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, a 0.375 inch body outside diameter, and a 0.625 inch head outside diameter. Constructed from steel for durability in repeated production use, it installs into a prepared drill jig plate without a liner bushing. It is renewable and secured with an LS-TW-2 compatible lock screw, keeping the bushing positively located under cutting forces.
This bushing suits tooling rooms, machine shops, and production environments where precise hole location must be maintained across repeated part runs. It is appropriate for jig-and-fixture setups in light to medium manufacturing, typically installed by machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders. The head style provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface, helping maintain consistent tool depth and preventing the bushing from being pushed through the plate during operation.
Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws for secure installation in slip-fixed drill jig applications. Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation bushing for standard SF-series drill jig fixtures.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists using standard jig-boring or drill-press equipment. The mating jig plate bore must be machined to the appropriate slip-fixed liner or plate tolerance before pressing or inserting this bushing. Always confirm the lock screw is fully engaged before operating the drill press or machining center. Inspect bushing inside diameter for wear periodically and replace as needed, as the renewable design allows swap-out without reworking the fixture plate.
