The BONEHAM SFT245GQ is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precise, repeatable accuracy in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel, this head-type bushing carries an inside diameter of 0.221 inches (wire size No. 2) and a body outside diameter of 0.375 inches. The length under the head measures 0.3125 inches, and the head outside diameter is 0.625 inches with a head height of 0.25 inches. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be locked in position using a compatible lock screw, making it well-suited for production drilling operations where the bushing must remain stationary during the cut. Installation and changeout are performed by machinists and tooling technicians.
This bushing fits into drill jig plates and fixture bushings in manufacturing, machining, and fabrication environments. The SF industry code designates a renewable, head-style slip-fixed bushing that seats into a liner bushing and is secured with a lock screw. Compatible with the LS-TW-2 lock screw. Applications include repetitive hole drilling, reaming, and other guided cutting operations in both low-volume and production machining settings where tool guidance accuracy is critical to part quality.
Designed for use with LS-TW-2 compatible lock screws. Fits standard liner bushings accepting a 0.375 inch body OD slip-fixed bushing per industry SF specifications. Verify liner bushing inside diameter and counterbore dimensions before installation.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians during jig and fixture setup. Ensure the liner bushing bore and seating face are clean and free of chips or burrs before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Secure with the appropriate LS-TW-2 lock screw and confirm the bushing is fully seated before beginning any drilling or reaming operation. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner bore.
