The BONEHAM SFT1612DY is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed for precision hole location in jig and fixture applications. Built to SF industry standards, this bushing features a 0.1285 inch inside diameter corresponding to a Number 30 wire gauge drill size and a 0.2500 inch body outside diameter. The head-type construction with a 7/16 inch head outside diameter allows the bushing to seat flush against the jig plate surface. Manufactured from steel, it provides the wear resistance required for repetitive production drilling operations. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders use this type of bushing when a removable, slip-fit installation is needed with positive lock screw retention.
This slip-fixed bushing is suited for use in drill jig plates where tooling must be changed between operations. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be removed and replaced without disturbing the press-fit liner bushing already installed in the jig. The 3/4 inch length under head accommodates standard jig plate thicknesses. The bushing is compatible with the LS-TW-2 lock screw, which secures it in position during drilling. This configuration is common in production environments where multiple bushing sizes share the same liner, reducing setup time when switching drill, reamer, or counterbore operations on a single fixture.
Designed for use with LS-TW-2 compatible lock screws and standard SF-series press-fit liner bushings. Intended as an OEM-style slip-fixed drill bushing for jig and fixture tooling applications where renewable bushing replacement is required.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists working with drill jig assemblies. The mating liner bushing must already be press-fit into the jig plate before the slip-fixed bushing is inserted. Align the bushing drive slot with the lock screw before seating, then tighten the LS-TW-2 lock screw to secure the bushing in place. Always verify inside diameter clearance against the drill or tool shank before use to confirm proper fit.
