The BONEHAM SFT1612DM is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision in production drilling applications. Manufactured from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing provides a consistent, wear-resistant bore for repetitive drilling operations. The inside diameter measures 0.111 inches with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate hole location and concentricity. The body outside diameter is 0.250 inches and the length under the head is 0.750 inches. A head outside diameter of 0.4375 inches and head height of 0.250 inches seat the bushing firmly in the liner or plate. Licensed machinists and tooling specialists are the primary installers.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and production tooling where repeatable hole placement is critical. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be rotated or replaced without disturbing the liner bushing pressed into the jig plate, making it well-suited for multi-operation setups where different cutting tools access the same hole location. It conforms to ANSI standards and is renewable, allowing worn bushings to be swapped out quickly during a production run. Typical applications include metal fabrication, machining shops, and assembly fixture tooling across industrial and commercial environments.
Compatible with LS-TW-2 lock screws. Designed as an ANSI-standard slip-fixed renewable drill bushing for use with a corresponding liner bushing in drill jig and fixture plate applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians. Ensure the mating liner bushing bore and the jig plate are clean and free of chips before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Secure the bushing using the compatible LS-TW-2 lock screw and verify free rotation before locking. De-energize all machine power and remove workpieces from the fixture before servicing or replacing bushings.
