The BONEHAM SF8822OE is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in production drilling applications. Built to industry code SF, it features a 59/64 inch inside diameter and a 1-3/8 inch body outside diameter, with a head outside diameter of 1-51/64 inches and a head height of 3/8 inch. The length under the head measures 1-3/8 inches. Constructed from steel, this bushing is a renewable type, meaning it can be replaced without removing the liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate. Lock screw compatibility is LS-2. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die makers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This slip-fixed bushing is suited for use in drill jig applications where renewable tooling guides are required. The SF style installs by slipping into a compatible liner bushing and locking in place with a headless lock screw, making it appropriate for setups that require frequent bushing changes during multi-operation machining. It fits into jig plates used in both production shop and job-shop environments where repeatable hole location accuracy is critical.
Designed as a renewable slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with SF-style liner bushings and LS-2 lock screws used in standard drill jig assemblies.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling specialists working with drill jig fixtures. Ensure the mating liner bushing is fully seated and undamaged before inserting the SF8822OE. Secure the bushing using an appropriate LS-2 lock screw to prevent rotation during tool operation. Remove all cutting tools and de-energize any associated machinery before servicing or replacing bushings.
