The BONEHAM SF8812NW is a slip-fixed drill bushing built to ANSI standards for precision tooling and fixture applications. It features a 0.875 inch inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0002 to +0.0006 inches, ensuring accurate drill guidance and repeatable hole location. The body outside diameter measures 1.375 inches, with a head outside diameter of 1.812 inches and a head height of 0.375 inches. The length under head is 0.75 inches. Manufactured from steel hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing is designed for demanding production environments where wear resistance and dimensional stability are critical. Installation is handled by machinists and toolmakers working with jig and fixture assemblies.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig fixtures across manufacturing, fabrication, and tooling shops. The SF-series slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed into a liner bushing and locked in place, making it appropriate for applications requiring a fixed guide during a single drilling operation. It is compatible with LS-2 lock screws, which secure the bushing in the fixture. This part is used in both high-volume production and job-shop tooling environments where ANSI-compliant bushings are specified.
Designed for use with ANSI-standard liner bushings and LS-2 compatible lock screws in drill jig and fixture assemblies. Specific liner bushing compatibility should be verified against ANSI bushing dimension tables before installation.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolmaker. Before servicing or replacing bushings in an active fixture, ensure all machine power is off and the workpiece is secured. A proper bushing press or driver should be used to seat the bushing without damaging the bore or head. Verify lock screw engagement after installation to confirm the bushing is fully retained in the liner.
