The BONEHAM SF4812JQ is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel with a hardness of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing provides consistent bore alignment and wear resistance in production drilling operations. The inside diameter measures 0.375 inches with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, ensuring accurate tool guidance. The body outside diameter is 0.750 inches, and the length under the head is 0.750 inches. A head outside diameter of 1-3/64 inches and a head height of 0.250 inches keep the bushing seated securely in the liner. Compatible with an LS-1 lock screw, it is the SF industry code style. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and fixture builders typically install this component.
This bushing is suited for use in renewable drill jig assemblies where tooling must be swapped between operations without replacing the liner bushing. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and locked in place via the LS-1 lock screw, then removed when the operation changes. Typical applications include production drilling, reaming, and light boring in metalworking jigs. The renewable construction reduces fixture downtime and keeps tooling aligned across repeated setups in both low-volume and high-volume machining environments.

Do not force an oversized cutting tool through the bushing, as this will damage the precision bore.
