The BONEHAM SF328HB is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 0.242 inch inside diameter (Letter Size C), a 0.5 inch body outside diameter, and a 0.5 inch length under head. The hardened steel construction reaches 60 to 65 HRC, providing long service life in high-cycle drilling operations. A headed design keeps the bushing seated flush against the jig plate, and the renewable construction allows the bushing to be replaced without disturbing the liner. Compatible with the LS-1 lock screw for positive retention during use.
Slip-fixed bushings in the SF series are used in production drilling, reaming, and tooling jigs where a removable but locked bushing is required. This bushing installs into a press-fit liner already mounted in the jig plate, then locks in place with an LS-1 lock screw during the machining operation. Typical applications include metal fabrication shops, machine shops, and maintenance tooling setups requiring consistent hole location. The 51/64 inch head outside diameter and 1/4 inch head height provide a stable bearing surface on the jig face.
Designed for use with LS-1 lock screws and standard ANSI-dimensioned liner bushings used in drill jig and fixture assemblies.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians working with drill jigs and fixtures. Ensure the mating liner bushing is fully seated and secure in the jig plate before inserting the SF328HB. Power down all machinery before handling or replacing bushings in an active fixture. Secure the bushing with the appropriate LS-1 lock screw and verify free rotation or locked position as the application requires before resuming operations.
