The BONEHAM SF328GF is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to the SF industry code, it features a 0.204 inch inside diameter sized for number 6 wire gauge tooling, a 0.5 inch body outside diameter, and a 0.5 inch length under the head. Machined from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, the SF328GF holds tight inside diameter tolerances of plus 0.0001 to plus 0.0004 inches, ensuring repeatable hole location across production runs. The headed design seats flush against the jig plate and accepts an LS-1 lock screw for secure retention during drilling operations.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and machining fixtures where a renewable, slip-in bushing is required. The slip-fixed style allows the bushing to be installed and locked in place without a press fit, making it practical for tooling setups that require periodic bushing replacement. Typical applications include production metalworking, precision machining shops, and toolroom environments where repeatable hole location is critical. It meets ANSI standards for drill bushing geometry and interchangeability.
Designed as an ANSI-standard SF-series slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with LS-1 lock screws and standard liner bushings sized for a 0.5 inch body outside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist technicians during jig and fixture assembly or maintenance. The bushing slides into a compatible liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate and is locked in position with an LS-1 lock screw — confirm the lock screw is fully seated before beginning any drilling operation. Remove all cutting tools and secure the workpiece before replacing a worn bushing. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and fixture design standards when servicing drill jig components.
