The BONEHAM SF328FX is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to the SF industry code, this bushing features a 0.1935 inch inside diameter, a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, and a 1/2 inch length under the head. Constructed from steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, it delivers the wear resistance required for repetitive drilling operations. The headed design and LS-1 compatible lock screw allow the bushing to be installed and removed without disturbing the liner bushing, making it well suited to production environments where tooling changeouts are frequent.
This bushing is used in metalworking drill jigs where a renewable, removable guide is needed at a fixed station. The slip-fixed configuration locks into a liner bushing using an LS-1 lock screw, securing the unit during drilling while allowing fast removal between operations. Typical installations are found in precision machining shops, aerospace fabrication, and general manufacturing where hole location accuracy and bushing longevity are critical requirements. A licensed machinist or toolmaker handles installation in jig bodies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with LS-1 lock screws and standard liner bushings conforming to ANSI drill bushing specifications.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolmaker using a jig bushing press to seat the liner bushing before inserting the SF328FX. Power down any associated machine tool before servicing the jig fixture. Use only a compatible LS-1 lock screw to secure the bushing — do not substitute other screw types, as improper retention can allow the bushing to rotate or eject during operation. Follow ANSI guidelines for bushing clearance and jig plate thickness to ensure proper seating and tool alignment.
