The BONEHAM SF328EQ is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built to SF industry standards, it features a 0.152 inch inside diameter sized for a number 24 wire gauge drill, with an inside diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches for tight, repeatable positioning. The body outside diameter is 0.5 inches and the length under the head is 0.5 inches. Constructed from steel with a head-style configuration, this renewable bushing seats securely in a liner bushing and is locked in place with an LS-1 compatible lock screw. It is installed and removed by machinists or tooling technicians without special tooling beyond the lock screw.
This bushing is suited for production drilling, reaming, and boring operations where a jig plate or fixture requires a guided, interchangeable bushing. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be installed and removed from a liner without disturbing the fixture itself, making it practical in multi-operation setups where different drill sizes are needed at the same hole location. Typical use cases include metal fabrication shops, machine shops, and precision manufacturing environments where jig repeatability is critical.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard SF-series liner bushings in jig and fixture assemblies. Counterbored installations are not supported by this bushing configuration.
Installation is performed by tooling or machine shop technicians familiar with jig bushing systems. Ensure the liner bushing and jig plate bore are clean and free of chips before seating the bushing. The lock screw must be engaged to prevent bushing rotation or withdrawal during cutting operations. Always verify drill size matches the bushing inside diameter before beginning guided operations.
