The BONEHAM SF326HJ is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to ANSI standards, this bushing features a 0.257 inch (Letter F) inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, a 0.500 inch body outside diameter, and a 0.375 inch length under head. Constructed from steel hardened to 60-65 HRC, it delivers consistent tool guidance and long service life in production jig and fixture applications. The renewable design allows the bushing to be swapped without replacing the jig plate liner bushing. A licensed machinist or tooling technician typically installs and maintains these components.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and fixture plates across manufacturing, fabrication, and machining environments. The slip-fixed (SF industry code) style seats into a liner bushing and is held in position with an LS-1 compatible lock screw, making it appropriate for operations where the same hole receives a single tool type throughout a production run. It is applicable in both light-duty and medium-duty machining setups where repeatable hole location accuracy is required.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard liner bushings accepting a 0.500 inch body outside diameter. Fits drill jigs and fixture plates built to ANSI slip-fixed bushing specifications.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or tooling technician during jig setup or bushing replacement. Ensure the liner bushing bore and the jig plate are clean and free of chips or debris before seating the bushing. Secure with an LS-1 compatible lock screw torqued according to the jig designer's specification. Never force the bushing into an undersized liner bore, as this can distort the inside diameter and compromise tool guidance accuracy.
