The BONEHAM SF326GE is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features an inside diameter of 13/64 inches, a body outside diameter of 0.500 inches, and a head outside diameter of 51/64 inches. The bushing is machined from steel and heat-treated to a hardness of 60 to 65 HRC, providing wear resistance suited to repeated drilling cycles. The inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring consistent tool guidance. Installation requires an LS-1 compatible lock screw, which is not included. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the typical installers.
The SF326GE is used in drill jigs and production fixtures where a renewable, slip-fixed bushing is required. The SF industry code identifies it as a head-type slip bushing that mounts in a liner bushing and can be removed and replaced without disturbing the jig plate. With a body length under head of 3/8 inches and a head height of 1/4 inches, it suits standard jig-plate thicknesses in light to medium production drilling setups. This bushing meets ANSI standards and is appropriate for both manual and CNC-assisted jig drilling operations.
Designed for use with ANSI-standard liner bushings in drill jig and fixture applications requiring an SF-series slip-fixed renewable bushing. Requires an LS-1 compatible lock screw for installation.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinist tradespeople during jig setup or bushing replacement. The bushing slips into a mating liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate and is secured with an LS-1 lock screw. Ensure the liner bushing bore and the SF326GE body OD are clean and free of chips before seating. Never drive the bushing with a hammer; hand-press or use a soft-faced mallet only to avoid damaging the precision bore.
