The BONEHAM SF326FP is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed for precision hole-location applications in jig and fixture work. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 0.182 inch (wire size 14) inside diameter and a 0.500 inch body outside diameter, with a 3/8 inch length under the head. The head-style design and hardened steel construction — rated 60 to 65 HRC — make it suited for high-wear drilling operations where consistent positional accuracy is required. A renewable design and LS-1 lock screw compatibility allow for easy field replacement without disturbing the liner bushing. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This bushing is used in drill jigs and production fixtures where repeatable hole placement is critical across moderate to high cycle counts. The slip-fixed configuration allows the bushing to be locked in place with an LS-1 compatible set screw, preventing rotation during drilling. It is appropriate for both prototype tooling and production-grade jig assemblies in metalworking environments. The head type provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface, controlling the installed depth of the bushing without additional hardware.
Designed as an ANSI-standard SF-series slip-fixed drill bushing compatible with standard liner bushings and jig plates accepting a 1/2 inch body outside diameter. Requires an LS-1 compatible lock screw for installation (sold separately).
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists working with drill jigs and fixture plates. The bushing is pressed or slipped into a mating liner bushing and secured with an LS-1 lock screw to prevent rotation during use. Ensure the jig plate and liner bushing are clean and free of burrs before installation to maintain dimensional accuracy. Always confirm the lock screw is fully engaged before beginning a drilling operation.
