The BONEHAM SF326EZ is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed for precision hole location in jig and fixture applications. It features a 0.161 inch inside diameter, a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, and a 3/8 inch length under head. Hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this steel bushing provides a wear-resistant guide surface for drill bits, reamers, and similar cutting tools. The head-type design seats flush against the jig plate, and LS-1 lock screw compatibility locks the bushing securely in its liner during operation. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders install this part in production and inspection environments where repeatable hole placement is required.
The SF326EZ is suited for use in slip-fixed bushing applications where a renewable bushing must be exchanged between operations without removing the liner bushing from the jig plate. It is appropriate for both light and moderate-duty drilling, reaming, and countersinking operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. The SF industry code designates this bushing as conforming to ANSI standards for slip-fixed head-type drill bushings.
Designed for use with LS-1 lock screws and standard ANSI SF-series liner bushings. Conforms to ANSI standards for slip-fixed head-type drill bushings. Verify liner bushing body bore diameter matches the 1/2 inch body outside diameter before installation.
Installation is typically performed by toolmakers or machinist trades. Ensure the liner bushing is fully seated and secured in the jig plate before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. The bushing should be rotated to engage the LS-1 lock screw, which prevents rotation and axial movement during cutting tool operation. Do not force the bushing into an undersized liner bore, as this can damage the precision ground surfaces and compromise hole location accuracy.
