The BONEHAM SF325GM is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to SF industry standards, this bushing features a 0.213 inch inside diameter, a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, and a 5/16 inch length under the head. The headed design keeps the bushing seated flush in the jig plate, while the renewable construction allows it to be removed and replaced without disturbing the surrounding fixture. Material is steel throughout, providing the hardness and wear resistance expected in production drilling applications. Licensed machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the typical installers.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and tooling fixtures found in machine shops, manufacturing production lines, and precision fabrication environments. The SF slip-fixed style seats into a liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate, allowing the drill bushing to be swapped out quickly between operations or when worn. The 0.213 inch bore corresponds to a No. 3 wire gauge drill size, making it appropriate for applications requiring that specific hole diameter. Compatible with LS-1 lock screws, which retain the bushing in its liner during use.
Designed as an SF-style renewable slip-fixed drill bushing for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws and standard liner bushings in drill jig and tooling fixture applications.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists working with drill jig assemblies. Ensure the mating liner bushing bore and the fixture plate are clean and free of chips before inserting the bushing. The LS-1 lock screw should be installed and tightened to retain the bushing before starting any drilling cycle. Always verify inside diameter tolerance compatibility with the intended drill or reamer before committing the bushing to a production run.
