The BONEHAM SF3222EX is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during drilling, reaming, and boring operations. Built to the SF industry standard, it features a 0.159 inch (No. 21 wire gauge) inside diameter with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring repeatable hole location accuracy. The body outside diameter is 0.500 inches and the length under head is 1.375 inches. Constructed from steel with a counterbored head, this bushing installs into a drill jig or fixture and is held in place with a compatible LS-1 lock screw. It is a renewable bushing, meaning it can be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing in the fixture. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
The SF3222EX is suited for use in production drilling jigs and tool fixtures where slip-renewable bushings are required. The slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be rotated into a locked position using a lock screw, preventing movement during the cutting operation while still permitting removal for tool changes or replacement. This configuration is common in light to medium production environments across metal fabrication, aerospace component manufacturing, and general machining shops. The head outside diameter measures 51/64 inch with a 1/4 inch head height, providing a low-profile seating surface in the fixture plate.

Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists during fixture assembly or bushing replacement. Ensure the fixture liner bushing bore is clean and free of chips before inserting the SF3222EX. Use the appropriate LS-1 lock screw to secure the bushing in the locked position before initiating any cutting operation. Do not force the bushing into a liner that is undersized or damaged, as this can compromise hole location accuracy.
