The BONEHAM SF3222EU is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built from steel, this bushing features a 5/32 inch inside diameter and a 1/2 inch body outside diameter, with a length under head of 1-3/8 inches. The head outside diameter measures 51/64 inch with a 1/4 inch head height. It installs using the slip-fixed method, meaning it can be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing already seated in the jig plate. The SF industry code identifies it as a standard head-type, counterbored renewable bushing. It is compatible with the LS-1 lock screw for secure retention during drilling operations. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and production line technicians are the primary installers.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and fixtures in manufacturing, metalworking, and precision machining environments. The slip-fixed design is common in production setups where bushings must be swapped quickly between operations without removing the liner from the jig body. The counterbored head and LS-1 lock screw compatibility make it appropriate for applications requiring positive bushing retention under repetitive tool loading. It fits both light and medium-duty jig plate configurations where a 1/2 inch body OD is the specified nominal size.
Designed for use with LS-1 lock screws and compatible with standard liner bushings accepting a 1/2 inch body outside diameter in SF-series drill jig applications.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or tool-and-die technicians using standard jig bushing press or hand tools. The jig plate and any associated fixtures should be fully secured and the workpiece properly clamped before seating the bushing. Confirm the liner bushing is correctly installed and undamaged before inserting the slip-fixed bushing. Tighten the LS-1 lock screw to manufacturer specification to prevent rotation or axial movement during tool operation.
