The BONEHAM SF208EU is a slip-fixed drill bushing manufactured from steel to ANSI standards. It features a 5/32-inch inside diameter and a 5/16-inch body outside diameter, with a 1/2-inch length under the head. The head outside diameter measures 35/64 inches and the head height is 1/4 inch. Hardness is rated at 60 to 65 HRC, making it suitable for precision jig and fixture work where accurate hole guidance and wear resistance are required. The inside diameter tolerance is held to +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches. This bushing is renewable and locks in place using a compatible LS-1 lock screw. Installation is performed by machinists and toolmakers in production and maintenance environments.
SF-series slip-fixed bushings are used in drill jigs and tooling fixtures where the bushing must be removable for tool changes while remaining securely locked during the drilling operation. This part is appropriate for applications requiring tight positional accuracy in both production shops and maintenance repair operations. The renewable design allows worn bushings to be replaced without replacing the jig plate, extending fixture service life. Compatible with standard SF-series drill jig plates and liner bushings machined to ANSI specifications.
Designed for use with SF-series drill jig liner bushings and fixtures built to ANSI standards. Requires an LS-1 lock screw for installation, sold separately.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolmaker using standard hand tools and a properly sized LS-1 lock screw. Ensure the liner bushing bore and mating surfaces are clean and free of chips or debris before pressing the bushing into position. Do not hammer directly on the bushing head; use a proper press or bushing driver to avoid damaging the hardened surface or bore tolerance. Verify lock screw engagement before beginning any drilling operation.
