The BONEHAM SF206FG is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from hardened steel with a surface hardness of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing resists wear under repeated drilling cycles. It features an inside diameter of 11/64 inches, a body outside diameter of 5/16 inches (0.3125 inches), and a length under head of 3/8 inches. The head outside diameter measures 35/64 inches with a head height of 1/4 inches. This is a renewable, headed bushing that locks into a liner bushing using an LS-1 compatible lock screw. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install these in drill jigs to maintain consistent hole location and size across production runs.
The SF206FG is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and production tooling setups where a renewable guided bushing is required. The slip-fixed configuration allows the bushing to be installed and secured in position via an LS-1 lock screw, making it appropriate for single-operation setups where the bushing remains fixed throughout the drilling cycle. Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolmaker. Before inserting or removing the bushing, ensure the drill press or machining center is fully powered down and the fixture is secured. Use an LS-1 lock screw to retain the bushing in its liner; do not substitute non-compatible lock screw types, as this can result in bushing rotation or ejection during operation. Verify inside diameter clearance against the drill or reamer shank before production use.
