The BONEHAM SF206EJ is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with high positional accuracy in jig and fixture applications. Built to ANSI standards, this bushing features a 0.144 inch (Number 27 wire gauge) inside diameter and a 5/16 inch body outside diameter. The head-type design with a 35/64 inch head outside diameter seats securely against the jig plate, and the 3/8 inch length under head suits standard plate thicknesses. Hardness runs from 60 to 65 HRC, giving the bore surface the wear resistance needed for repeated tool passes. The SF bushing is renewable and compatible with the LS-1 lock screw, making tool changeover straightforward on production jigs. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
This bushing is used in drill jigs, reaming fixtures, and multi-operation tooling plates in both job-shop and production environments. The SF industry-code designation identifies it as a slip-fixed type, meaning it can be removed and replaced without disturbing the liner bushing pressed into the jig plate. It is well suited to operations that require frequent bushing changes between drilling, reaming, or countersinking steps on the same hole. The LS-1 lock screw compatibility ensures the bushing stays positively located during cutting without rotation or axial movement.
Designed as an ANSI SF-series slip-fixed drill bushing for use with standard pressed liner bushings in drill jig and fixture applications. Compatible with LS-1 lock screws as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or tool-and-die professionals during jig setup or bushing changeover. Ensure the mating liner bushing bore and the jig plate are clean and free of chips before inserting the SF bushing. Secure the bushing with the appropriate LS-1 lock screw to prevent rotation during the cutting operation. Always verify inside diameter and body OD match the liner and tooling specifications before beginning the operation.
