The BONEHAM SF206DV is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision during machining and drilling operations. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 0.125 inch (1/8 inch) inside diameter and a 0.3125 inch (5/16 inch) body outside diameter, with a 0.375 inch (3/8 inch) length under the head. Constructed from steel and hardened to 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing holds tight tolerances on the inside diameter, ranging from +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches. The headed design seats securely in a drill jig and accepts an LS-1 compatible lock screw to prevent rotation during use. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this type of bushing in production jig-and-fixture setups where repeatable hole location is required.
The SF206DV suits light to medium production drilling, reaming, and boring applications where the bushing must be held in a fixed position throughout the operation. Its renewable design allows the bushing to be replaced independently of the jig plate, extending the service life of the fixture. This part is appropriate for use in job shops, manufacturing cells, and toolroom environments. Compatible with standard ANSI SF-series jig plate installations that use LS-1 style lock screws.
Designed for use in ANSI SF-series slip-fixed bushing applications. Compatible with LS-1 style lock screws. Intended for drill jig plates sized to accept a 0.3125 inch body outside diameter bushing.
Installation is typically performed by machinists or tool-and-die technicians during jig and fixture assembly or maintenance. Ensure the jig plate counterbore is clean and dimensionally correct before pressing or slipping the bushing into position. Secure with an LS-1 compatible lock screw and confirm the bushing seats flush and rotates freely before locking. De-energize any associated machine and follow applicable shop safety lockout procedures before replacing bushings in an active fixture.
