The BONEHAM SF2022EV is a slip-fixed drill bushing built to guide cutting tools with precision in production jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel, this SF-series bushing features an inside diameter of 0.157 inches (No. 22 wire gauge equivalent) with a close inside diameter tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches. The body outside diameter is 0.3125 inches (5/16 inches) and the length under head measures 1.375 inches (1-3/8 inches). The headed design with a counterbored head seats securely in the jig plate, and the bushing is renewable, allowing it to be replaced without replacing the entire liner. It is compatible with the LS-1 lock screw for positive retention during drilling operations. Machinists and toolmakers install this bushing in drill jigs used across metalworking, manufacturing, and precision machining environments.
The SF2022EV is intended for use in slip-fixed bushing applications where the bushing must be retained in a fixed liner installed in the jig plate. This style is commonly used in production drilling, reaming, and boring setups where the same bushing position is used repeatedly without tool changes mid-operation. The headed configuration with counterbore allows the bushing head to sit flush or below the jig plate surface depending on the fixture design. The renewable construction supports high-volume production environments where bushing replacement due to wear is routine maintenance rather than a tooling overhaul.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for drill jig fixtures using SF-series slip-fixed bushings with fixed liners and LS-1 compatible lock screws.
Installation of drill bushings is typically performed by machinists or tool and die makers as part of jig and fixture assembly or maintenance. Ensure the fixed liner is properly installed and the jig plate is secured before pressing or seating the bushing. Use the appropriate LS-1 lock screw to retain the bushing and prevent rotation under load. Follow shop safety procedures and de-energize any associated equipment before performing bushing replacement on active production fixtures.
