The BONEHAM SF2016CK is a slip-fixed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools accurately through jig plates in precision machining and metalworking applications. Built to ANSI standards, it features a 0.082 inch inside diameter (wire size No. 45), a 5/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 1 inch length under the head. The hardened steel construction is rated 60 to 65 HRC, providing long-term wear resistance in high-cycle jig and fixture setups. The head-style design with a 35/64 inch head outside diameter and 1/4 inch head height seats firmly in a counterbored plate. An LS-1 compatible lock screw secures the bushing in position during operation.
This bushing is used in tool rooms, production shops, and maintenance facilities where repeatable hole location is required. It installs into a counterbored jig plate and is held in place with an LS-1 lock screw, making it renewable and replaceable without scrapping the jig body. Typical applications include drilling, reaming, and tapping operations on metalworking fixtures. The slip-fixed configuration allows the bushing to be removed and swapped during multi-operation sequences while maintaining precise tool guidance.
Designed for use with LS-1 compatible lock screws in counterbored jig plates. Conforms to ANSI slip-fixed bushing standards, making it a direct fit in any jig or fixture designed to the SF bushing specification for this body diameter and length.
Installation is typically performed by toolmakers or machinists. The jig plate must be counterbored to the correct diameter and depth to accept the head-style bushing before installation. The LS-1 lock screw should be engaged to secure the bushing against rotation or withdrawal during cutting operations. Always ensure the cutting tool and bushing ID are compatible before use to avoid binding or premature wear.
