The BONEHAM PT2810GW is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features a 0.234 inch inside diameter, a 7/16 inch body outside diameter, and a 5/8 inch overall length. Constructed from steel, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for repetitive drilling operations. The headless design keeps the bushing flush with the jig plate surface, making it suitable for applications where a flanged head would interfere with workpiece clearance or tooling access. Installation is permanent — this is a non-renewable bushing.
This bushing is used in production drilling jigs and machining fixtures across manufacturing, tool-and-die, and maintenance environments. It is well suited for operations requiring consistent hole location and drill guidance in metal or composite workpieces. The press fit installation method locks the bushing securely into the jig plate bore without fasteners or locking collars. Machinists, toolmakers, and maintenance technicians typically select this style for moderate- to high-volume drilling runs where bushing replacement is not anticipated.
Designed as an OEM-style press fit headless drill bushing conforming to standard P-series bushing dimensions, suitable for jig plates and machining fixtures bored to accept a 7/16 inch outside diameter press fit bushing.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolmaker using a press or arbor press to drive the bushing flush into a properly sized jig plate bore. The bore in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance to ensure the bushing seats without rocking or spinning. Do not drive the bushing with impact tools, as this can distort the inside diameter and compromise drill guidance accuracy. Verify inside diameter clearance with the intended drill size before placing the fixture into production.
