The BONEHAM PT124CU is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel, this bushing installs permanently into a drill jig plate without a locking head, keeping the top surface flush for applications where a protruding flange is not acceptable. It carries an inside diameter of 0.09375 inches (3/32 inches) with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, an outside diameter of 0.1875 inches (3/16 inches), and an overall length of 0.25 inches (1/4 inch). Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders use this bushing when consistent hole location and drill guidance are required across repeated production runs.
This bushing is suited for light-duty drill jig work in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and toolrooms. The headless press fit design is typically chosen when the working surface of the jig plate must remain unobstructed or when clearance above the plate is restricted. It is installed into a precision-reamed hole in the jig body and is not intended to be removed or replaced after installation. Industry code P identifies it within the standard headless press fit bushing series.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install component for standard drill jig fixtures requiring a headless press fit bushing with a 3/32 inch inside diameter and 3/16 inch outside diameter per industry code P specifications.
Installation is typically performed by a machinist or toolmaker using a press or arbor press to drive the bushing into a precision-reamed hole sized to the bushing outside diameter. The receiving hole should be reamed to the specified interference fit tolerance before pressing the bushing in place. Do not hammer the bushing in directly without a driver that contacts the full end face, as this can distort the bore. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, it is not designed for removal once installed.
