The BONEHAM P6416MM is a press fit headless drill bushing manufactured from steel and designed to guide drill bits with precision in jig and fixture applications. Carrying industry bushing code P, this headless style bushing installs flush with the jig plate surface, making it suitable where a headed flange would interfere with workpiece clearance. The inside diameter is 21/32 inches with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0005 inches, the body outside diameter is 1 inch, and the overall length is 1 inch. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders specify this bushing when repeatable hole location accuracy is required across production runs.
This bushing is used in drill jig plates for metalworking, fabrication, and production machining environments. The press fit installation method means the bushing is driven or pressed directly into a reamed hole in the jig plate, creating a permanent, non-renewable installation. It is appropriate for applications where the bushing is not intended to be removed and replaced during normal service. Typical users include machine shops, tool and die operations, and manufacturing facilities that build or maintain drill fixtures.
Designed as an OEM-style press fit headless drill bushing conforming to industry code P, suitable for use in standard drill jig plates and fixtures that accept a 1-inch outside diameter press fit bushing.
Installation is performed by pressing the bushing into a precision-reamed hole sized to the bushing outside diameter tolerance, typically using an arbor press or hydraulic press. The jig plate bore should be reamed to the correct interference fit before installation. Because this is a non-renewable press fit bushing, removal after installation will damage the bushing and likely the jig plate bore. Always verify hole location and bore diameter before pressing the bushing in place.
