The BONEHAM P325HD is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Built from steel with an inside diameter of 0.246 inches and a body outside diameter of 0.5 inches, this bushing provides consistent drill guidance and resists wear under repeated use. The overall bushing length is 5/16 inches. The headless profile allows flush mounting in applications where a projecting head would interfere with the workpiece or fixture plate. Inside diameter tolerance is held to a tight +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring accurate tool alignment across production runs. This is a non-renewable, fixed installation type. Machinists, toolmakers, and fixture builders are the primary installers.
The P325HD is suited for use in drill jigs, fixture plates, and production tooling where precise hole location is required. The press fit installation method locks the bushing permanently into the fixture liner or plate, making it appropriate for high-volume applications where bushing replacement is not required. The bushing industry code P identifies the series and aids in cross-referencing with standard drill bushing charts. It is used across metalworking, fabrication, and general manufacturing environments wherever repeatable, guided drilling is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit component for drill jigs and fixture plates requiring a P-series headless press fit bushing with a 0.246 inch inside diameter and 0.5 inch outside diameter.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or machinists using a press or arbor press to drive the bushing into a prepared bore in the fixture plate. The receiving bore should be machined to the appropriate interference fit tolerance for the 0.5 inch outside diameter before installation. Once pressed in, the bushing is not intended to be removed or replaced. Verify bore cleanliness and alignment before pressing to avoid cocking or damage to the bushing bore.
