The BONEHAM P325FX is a press fit headless drill bushing designed to guide drill bits and reamers with precision in jig and fixture applications. Carrying industry bushing code P, this headless style bushing presses directly into a drill jig plate without a retaining flange, providing a flush, low-profile installation. The bore is ground to an inside diameter of 0.1935 inches with a tight tolerance of +0.0001 to +0.0004 inches, ensuring consistent hole location across repeated drilling operations. The body outside diameter is 0.5 inches and the overall bushing length is 0.3125 inches. It is manufactured from steel for wear resistance under production drilling conditions. Machinists, tool and die makers, and fixture builders are the typical installers.
This bushing suits production and prototype drilling jigs where a headless, press-in design is required to maintain a flat jig plate surface. The P-series headless style is commonly used when clearance above the plate is limited or when the bushing must be flush-mounted. The 0.1935-inch bore accommodates a number 10 wire gauge drill or equivalent tooling. Applications span metalworking shops, maintenance facilities, and manufacturing lines where repeatable hole location is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style press fit headless drill bushing for use in standard drill jig plates and fixtures requiring a P-series bushing with a 0.5-inch outside diameter and 0.1935-inch bore.
Installation is performed by machinists or tool and die makers using an arbor press or bushing press tool to seat the bushing flush into a prepared jig plate bore. The mating bore in the jig plate must be machined to the appropriate press fit tolerance to ensure secure retention. Do not hammer the bushing in freehand, as this can damage the bore geometry or misalign the bushing. Once pressed in, this non-renewable bushing is not intended for removal and reinstallation.
