The BONEHAM H324GO is a Type H press fit headed drill bushing designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. It features a 7/32-inch inside diameter and a 1/2-inch body outside diameter, with a 1/4-inch length under the head. The head outside diameter measures 39/64 inches and the head height is 7/32 inches. Constructed from steel, this bushing is pressed directly into a drill jig plate without the need for a locking mechanism. It is a non-renewable, permanent-installation bushing suited for high-volume or dedicated tooling setups where the bushing position does not change between operations.
This bushing is used in drill jig fixtures across metalworking, machining, and fabrication environments. The headed design provides a positive stop against the jig plate surface, maintaining consistent drill depth and alignment. It is appropriate for production machining operations where accurate hole location and repeatable guidance of drills, reamers, or other rotary cutting tools are required. Machinists and tool and die makers install this bushing type as a permanent component in custom or standard jig plates.
Designed as a permanent press fit headed drill bushing conforming to Type H industry standards, suitable for use in drill jig plates requiring a 1/2-inch body OD press fit installation.
Press fit bushings are installed by a toolmaker or machinist using an arbor press or similar pressing equipment — never drive with a hammer, as this can damage the bushing or the jig plate bore. The receiving hole in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance to ensure the bushing seats securely. Once pressed in, the bushing is considered permanent and is not intended for field removal or replacement. Always verify inside diameter tolerance matches the cutting tool shank before installation.
