The BONEHAM AM00000963 is a slip-fixed drill bushing conforming to the SFM industry standard. It is used in jig plates and fixture assemblies to guide cutting tools such as drill bits accurately through workpieces. The bushing features a 5.2 mm inside diameter, a 10 mm body outside diameter, and a 25 mm length under the head. Its slip-fixed design allows the bushing to be seated and locked into a liner bushing already pressed into the jig plate, making tool changes faster without disturbing the fixture setup. Machinists, toolmakers, and production fixture builders install this type of bushing in metalworking and precision manufacturing environments.
This bushing is suited for production drilling operations where multiple operations are performed at the same hole location. The renewable design allows worn bushings to be swapped out without replacing the liner, reducing fixture maintenance time and cost. It is appropriate for both light and moderate-duty drilling applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where close positional tolerance is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation slip-fixed drill bushing for use with standard SFM-pattern liner bushings in precision drilling jig fixtures.
Installation is performed by toolmakers or fixture technicians using standard jig bushing press and locking tools. Ensure the mating liner bushing bore is clean and free of chips before seating the slip-fixed bushing. Always lock the bushing securely before beginning any drilling operation to prevent rotation under cutting load. Follow shop safety procedures and de-energize or secure the machine before servicing fixture components.
