The BONEHAM AM00000309 is a press fit headless drill bushing conforming to the HM industry code standard. This bushing is manufactured from steel and is designed to guide drill bits and other cutting tools with precision during machining operations. It installs without a head flange, seating flush or below the surface of the jig plate. The inside diameter measures 8.7 inches, the body outside diameter measures 15.00 millimeters, and the overall bushing length measures 20.00 millimeters. Machinists and tooling technicians install this component in drill jigs and fixture plates to maintain accurate hole location and extend tool life across repeated production cycles.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jig applications found in manufacturing, fabrication, and machine shop environments. The press fit installation method allows secure seating directly into a prepared jig plate bore without the use of fasteners or locking rings. Its headless design makes it appropriate for applications where a flush or recessed bushing surface is required. This part is sold individually and is appropriate for both production tooling and repair of existing drill jig fixtures.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation press fit headless drill bushing for use in standard HM-coded drill jig and fixture plate applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or tooling technicians using a press or arbor press to seat the bushing into a precision-bored jig plate hole. The bore in the receiving plate must be machined to the appropriate tolerance for an HM press fit to ensure proper retention and concentricity. The jig plate should be secured and the bushing driven in squarely to avoid misalignment or damage to the bore. Because this is a non-renewable bushing, removal typically requires pressing out and replacing both the bushing and potentially reworking the host bore.
