The BONEHAM AM00000107 is a press fit headless drill bushing, HM industry code, designed to guide cutting tools with precision in jig and fixture applications. Manufactured from steel with a hardness rating of 60 to 65 HRC, this bushing is pressed directly into a drill jig plate without a head flange, providing a flush, low-profile installation. The inside diameter is 3.25 mm with a tolerance of +0.004 to +0.012 mm, ensuring consistent hole location accuracy during production drilling, reaming, or boring operations. This part is a permanent, non-renewable bushing intended for high-volume or fixed tooling setups.
This bushing is suited for use in drill jigs and production fixtures across metalworking, fabrication, and precision machining environments. It is appropriate for both light manufacturing and industrial toolroom applications where repeatable hole location is critical. The HM industry code designates it as a headless press fit style, which is commonly specified by tooling engineers and machinists when a flush outer surface is required on the jig plate. Installation is typically performed by toolmakers or fixture builders in machine shops.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation press fit headless drill bushing conforming to ANSI HM industry standards, suitable for standard drill jig plates dimensioned to accept a 6.00 mm outside diameter press fit bushing.
Press fit bushings are installed by toolmakers or machineists using an arbor press or hydraulic press — never drive them in with a hammer, as this can crack the bushing or damage the jig bore. The receiving bore in the jig plate must be machined to the correct interference fit tolerance before installation. Once pressed in, this bushing is considered permanent and is not designed for removal and reuse. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and ensure the fixture is fully secured before pressing the bushing into position.
