The BMI USA 6372 is a lead-free brass street 90-degree elbow fitting designed for threaded pipe connections in plumbing and mechanical systems. Configured in a male-to-female (street) arrangement, it allows a direction change of 90 degrees without requiring a separate coupling, saving space and reducing connection points in tight installations. Constructed from brass, this fitting is suitable for potable water service where lead-free compliance is required. It is installed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters working on residential and light commercial water supply lines.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial plumbing applications where a 90-degree directional change is needed in a threaded pipe run. The 1/4 inch street configuration makes it well suited for branch lines, instrument connections, and compressed air or water supply piping where space is limited and a compact elbow is preferred over a standard elbow and coupling combination.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1/4 inch threaded pipe systems in residential and commercial plumbing applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before assembly, and tighten with a pipe wrench to a snug fit without overtightening, which can crack brass fittings. Do not use this fitting in systems operating outside its rated pressure and temperature range.
