The BMI USA 6307 is a lead-free brass 90-degree elbow designed for threaded pipe systems. This fitting redirects flow at a right angle and is built from solid brass construction, making it suitable for potable water, plumbing distribution, and general fluid handling applications. At 1.03 pounds, it is a robust, full-body fitting sized at 1-1/4 inches. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of elbow during new construction and retrofit work where a directional change in a threaded line is required. Its lead-free composition meets requirements for use in drinking water systems.
This fitting is intended for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems. The 1-1/4 inch threaded connection makes it appropriate for branch lines, main supply runs, and fixture connections where NPT threaded fittings are specified. It is well suited for applications where local codes require lead-free materials in potable water service, including kitchen, bathroom, and utility installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for 1-1/4 inch NPT threaded plumbing systems in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before threading the fitting. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly. Tighten to a snug, leak-free fit using appropriate pipe wrenches without over-torquing, which can crack the fitting body. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where adopted.
