The BMI USA 6126 is a lead-free brass hex bushing designed to reduce pipe thread sizes in plumbing and fluid distribution systems. Built from solid brass, this fitting connects a 3/4-inch male thread to a 1/8-inch female thread, allowing technicians to step down pipe sizes without additional adapters. The hexagonal body provides secure wrench engagement for a leak-free installation. Its lead-free construction meets requirements for potable water applications, making it suitable for residential and light commercial plumbing work performed by licensed plumbers and pipefitters.
This hex bushing is used in potable water supply lines, hydronic systems, and general fluid distribution where a 3/4-inch to 1/8-inch threaded reduction is required. It is well suited for residential service work and commercial mechanical rooms where pipe sizing changes are needed at fixtures, gauges, pressure ports, or branch connections. The compact hex body allows installation in tight spaces where standard fitting clearance is limited.
Designed as a standard NPT threaded hex bushing for use in residential and commercial plumbing systems where a 3/4-inch to 1/8-inch pipe thread reduction is required.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten brass fittings, as the material can crack under excessive force.
