The BMI USA 4925 is a lead-free brass pipe nipple designed for use in threaded piping systems. Measuring 2.5 inches in length, this nipple provides a reliable threaded connection between fittings, valves, or other pipe components. Manufactured from brass with a red finish, it meets lead-free requirements for potable water applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in both new construction and retrofit projects where a short, fixed-length threaded extension is needed.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, including water supply lines, distribution manifolds, and fixture connections. Its brass construction makes it appropriate for applications involving water, as well as a range of compatible fluids handled in standard plumbing systems. The 2.5-inch length positions it as a close-coupled connector between fittings where minimal spacing is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-use brass threaded nipple for residential and commercial plumbing systems using NPT-threaded fittings and valves.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque.
