The BMI USA 4570 is a lead-free brass threaded nipple designed for use in potable water, plumbing, and general pipe assembly applications. Machined from solid brass with a red finish, this nipple provides a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection between threaded fittings, valves, and pipe sections. At 3/4 inch nominal diameter and 10 inches in length, it covers a wide range of close-to-extension spacing needs in both residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Lead-free construction meets safe drinking water compliance requirements, making it appropriate for potable water installations where material standards are enforced.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems where a threaded brass extension piece is needed between fittings, valves, or supply connections. Common applications include water supply lines, boiler piping, irrigation manifolds, and general mechanical piping assemblies. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during new construction and retrofit work on threaded pipe systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install component for 3/4 inch threaded plumbing systems using standard NPT brass fittings.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off water supply and depressurize the line before threading or removing any fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus wrench-snug to avoid over-stressing the fitting. Do not use power tools to drive threaded brass fittings, as overtightening can crack or distort the fitting body.
