The BMI USA 4350 is a lead-free brass close nipple designed for use in threaded pipe assemblies across residential and light commercial plumbing systems. Machined from solid brass with a red finish, this nipple provides a reliable, corrosion-resistant connection in potable water, hydronic, and general plumbing applications. At 3/8 inch diameter and 5 inches in length, it fits standard NPT threaded systems and meets lead-free requirements for use in drinking water lines. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of supply line assemblies, boiler connections, and fixture rough-ins.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a short, fixed-length threaded extension is needed. Common applications include water supply connections, manifold extensions, and boiler trim where 3/8 inch NPT threading is specified. The lead-free brass construction makes it appropriate for potable water systems subject to state and local lead-free compliance requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-install component for 3/8 inch NPT threaded plumbing systems in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning any fitting work. Apply thread sealant tape or compound to NPT threads before assembly and tighten to hand-snug plus the appropriate number of turns for the fitting size — do not overtighten brass fittings, as the material is subject to thread damage under excessive torque. Inspect for leaks after restoring system pressure.
