The BMI USA 4335 is a lead-free brass pipe nipple designed for use in threaded plumbing and fluid distribution systems. Measuring 3/8 inch in diameter and 3.5 inches in length, this close-threaded fitting connects pipes, valves, and fittings in residential and light commercial plumbing installations. The red finish aids in quick visual identification on the job site. Solid brass construction provides reliable corrosion resistance across a wide range of potable water, gas, and general-purpose fluid applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this nipple type as part of standard threaded assembly work.
This nipple is suited for residential and commercial plumbing systems where a short male-threaded connection is required between two female-threaded components. Typical applications include connecting shut-off valves, water supply lines, pressure regulators, and other inline fittings. The 3/8-inch thread size makes it appropriate for branch lines, fixture supplies, and similar low-flow distribution points. The lead-free construction makes it compliant for use in potable water systems where lead-free materials are required by code.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting compatible with standard 3/8-inch NPT female-threaded plumbing components including valves, tees, elbows, and couplings in residential and commercial piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before beginning work. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus the appropriate number of turns using a pipe wrench. Avoid overtightening, which can crack fittings or distort threads.
