The BMI USA 4330 is a lead-free brass threaded nipple designed for use in potable water, plumbing, and fluid distribution systems. At 3 inches in length with a 3/8 inch nominal pipe thread, this nipple connects pipe segments, valves, fittings, and fixtures in both supply and distribution lines. Machined from brass stock with a red finish for quick identification, it meets lead-free requirements applicable to drinking water installations. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting during new construction, renovation, and repair work where a short male-threaded extension is needed between two female-threaded connections.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications including domestic hot and cold water supply lines, hydronic heating distribution, and general fluid handling where a 3/8 inch NPT threaded connection is required. Its compact 3-inch body makes it well suited for tight spaces where a close nipple would be too short but a longer pipe run is unnecessary. It is appropriate for above-ground and in-wall installations per local plumbing code requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded nipple for use in standard 3/8 inch NPT plumbing systems in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before threading this nipple into any fitting or valve. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before installation. Do not over-tighten, as brass fittings can crack under excessive torque.
