The BMI USA 4215 is a lead-free brass nipple designed for threaded pipe connections in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. At 1.5 inches in length with a 1/4-inch thread size, this close nipple provides a reliable, corrosion-resistant joint between fittings, valves, and equipment. Machined from solid brass, it meets lead-free material requirements for use in potable water and hydronic applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting as part of routine connection work on distribution lines, manifolds, and equipment hookups.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC installations where a short 1/4-inch NPT threaded connector is required. Typical applications include connecting shutoff valves, gauges, boiler trim, and service ports. Its compact 1.5-inch length makes it practical for tight-clearance runs and panel assemblies where longer nipples are not practical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard service fitting for 1/4-inch NPT threaded connections in residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC piping systems.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
