The BMI USA 4167 is a lead-free brass threaded nipple designed for use in plumbing and fluid distribution systems. Measuring 1/8 inch in diameter and 7 inches in length, this nipple connects two female-threaded fittings or serves as an extension between threaded components. Its brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in both hot and cold water applications. The lead-free designation makes it suitable for potable water systems where compliance with current safe drinking water standards is required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where a 1/8-inch threaded connection is needed. Common applications include water supply lines, distribution manifolds, and branch connections in tight-space installations. The 7-inch length provides additional reach where close nipples or short nipples are not sufficient. The red finish aids in quick visual identification during installation and inspection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard component for 1/8-inch NPT threaded plumbing systems in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the male threads before assembly to ensure a leak-free connection. Do not overtighten, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
